Zero-Waste Business Ideas Entrepreneur Showcase 1/2024
The BBA4101 Entrepreneurship course took an exciting turn this year as 31 student groups participated in the Zero-Waste Business Ideas Entrepreneur Showcase 1/2024, presenting their innovative business ideas and prototypes centered around the theme of Zero-Waste. This theme encouraged students to think creatively and develop sustainable solutions that address waste reduction in various industries.
The highlight of the event was the final pitch round, where 9 selected teams had the chance to present their refined ideas to a panel of esteemed judges.
The panel included some of the top names in the business world, all of whom brought valuable insights and industry experience to the table.
These judges assessed the teams based on creativity, feasibility, and impact, providing expert feedback that helped shape the students’ ideas into potential real-world solutions.
Dr. Nattee Onin – Chairman of Sappe and CEO of TTT Corporation (AU Alumnus)
Khun Taychanun Tangtevanon – Chief Marketing Officer, Whiteline Group
Khun Kunthaphatt Nutapotipan – CEO & Co-Founder, Sookjai Digital Agency and Solar Cell (AU Alumnus)
Dr. Yossaya Chiyaphapharak – CEO & Founder, Satayu Corporation (AU Alumnus)
The top three teams stood out for their innovative approaches and strong presentations. Each of the winning teams was awarded cash prizes sponsored by ABLE for Zero-Waste Business Ideas Entrepreneur Showcase 1/2024, with a total prize pool of 10,000 baht. Their business ideas not only aimed to reduce waste but also demonstrated the potential to contribute to a more sustainable future.
The event was a great success, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the guidance of Dr. Akechai Judkrue, Director of the ABLE Incubator, who provided invaluable mentorship to the students throughout the competition. His leadership in nurturing young entrepreneurial talent is commendable and continues to inspire the next generation of innovators.
The Entrepreneur Showcase 1/2024 was more than just a competition; it was a platform for students to bring their ideas to life, learn from industry leaders, and take their first steps toward becoming future entrepreneurs. With the Zero-Waste theme, these young minds are contributing to a much-needed shift towards sustainability in the business world. We look forward to seeing how these ideas evolve and impact the industry in the future.
