Program Description:
- Create a resource base on highly qualified business researchers and
teachers who can link and integrate applied research to learning as a
precursor to the formulation of vision, strategy and leadership to provide
analytical support to grow business sector. - Create an increasing body of academic research focusing on Thai
businesses, and original dissertation with valid and well-structured
arguments, an significant contribution to the knowledge of improving
business administration. - Form intellectually competent graduates who are morally sound,
committed to acting justly, and open to further growth; appreciate
freedom of expression, imbued with right attitudes and ideologies
through a carefully integrated curriculum of ethics, and business
management; and achieve academic excellence through hard work,

The philosophy of the program is to build on a solid foundation in the social sciences to develop rigorous analytical capabilities in the study of the underlying disciplines while discussing topics of common interest in a diverse community of scholars.
The Martin de Tours School of Business and Economics consists of faculty with diversified profiles in research, teaching, and consulting.
All faculty members in the Ph.D. in Business Administration program hold doctoral degrees from premier institutions and are with extensive academic research experience or industrial experience. Our doctoral program is kept deliberately small henceforth our faculty members are dedicated to the training and development of each student. Since its establishment in 1969, the Martin de Tours School of Business and Economics has developed an outstanding reputation for its interdisciplinary programs in business, many of our alumni have obtained senior positions in local and multinational firms.

Assumption University aims to offer a Ph.D. program in Business Administration as an educational building block for prospective scholars in search of pursuance of a rigorous, innovative, and discipline-based research in business. The mission of the School is to achieve leadership through thought and action in the world of management. Our Ph.D. Program is central to that mission, providing rigorous training toward an academic career, thus producing future leaders in business research and management.

An applicant possessing the required admission qualifications must pass the oral entrance examination set and marked by a panel of three members of the Doctoral Program Board. The purpose is to test the student’s general knowledge on business administration, especially in the area of concentration. The panel also evaluates the applicant’s aptitude for research.
Students must complete all the requirements for the degree within 6 academic years from the date of enrollment.
Students must maintain their enrollment by registering for a minimum of 3 credit hours per semester. The maximum course load allowed in this program is 15 credits per semester.
- Master’s degree in a related field from the institutions accredited by the Ministry of Education, Thailand.
- GPA of at least 3.25
- TOEFL/IELTS score or pass the English proficiency examination of the School.

Any applicant with an acceptable academic record and a Master’s Degree from an accredited institution is eligible to apply for admission to the Doctor of Philosophy Program in Business Administration.
The AU English Proficiency Test can be exempted depending on which of the following conditions you satisfy.
- a TOEFL score of (iBT) 90 or an IELTS (Academic) score of at least 6.5 (Validation: Two years)
- a Bachelor’s degree or a higher degree from native English speaking countries (e.g. USA, Canada, UK, and New Zealand)
